I had the pleasure to take an awesome class with Jacqueline Butler from Petalsweet in San Diego. She is such a lovely person and oh so talented and the flowers we worked on make my heart melt.
The flowers:
Soft green sweet sugar Hydrangeas, delicate sugar Gardenia, Elegant sugar Magnolia and the romantic and exotic sugar Orchids

We had a great time working with the lovely Kara Delay from Pick me! Events, Jamee from Jamee photography and many other awesome vendors that help put this 50's wedding style shoot together.
I loved working on the cake with the short funky ruffles, little belt and the big sugar flower topper. The other little goodies were just a playful take on the theme and Jamee did a fantastic job capturing the feel of all the elements.
This are my "non-professional" photos, please take a look at Couture Colorado's blog feature to see pictures of the rest of the shoot

I love Damask print and get pretty excited every time a client ask for a cake covered in this very elegant and classic design.
At first i thought to leave it simple white and black but the red really made it pop.
